A Weensie

So remember how I already have mother's intuition, and totally knew my baby boy was a baby boy?

Well.. let's just go over the proof.

{My apologies in advance for the child nudity.}

Would ya look at that? A tiny weensie. If you've never seen an ultrasound before, it may be a little bit of a struggle to see what is what exactly, so I provided some arrows. Believe me, unless our doctor had pointed it out, I wouldn't have known what to look at either.

But as soon as he pointed it out, it became pretty obvious. I mean, look at it. He's proud... just like his daddy.

I can't even begin to explain the excitement that instantly filled the room. Chris was literally grinning from ear to ear. He's wanted a boy this entire time, so you can imagine his thrill. And like I said in my previous post, I was dying. I honestly don't know how else to describe it. I was just.... on cloud nine, to say the least.

We left the doctors office, called our families to share the good news, and went out to lunch to celebrate. And don't worry, as soon as Chris came home from work that night, we went out to celebrate again. Only this time- it was for ice cream. And let's not talk about the fact that we've eaten ice cream consecutively every night for the past three nights since..

And as a cherry on top, I felt him move for the very first time that night!!! It was probably because he was hyper from all the ice cream I fed him.. But it was UN.REAL. I loved it.

So, my intuition proved faithful. I was so relieved to know that I didn't have to completely change my mind set of having a little boy to a little girl. Not that I wouldn't want a girl- I kind of always wanted a girl first. And actually, after the ultrasound Robins asked me, "So are you kinda sad? I thought you kinda wanted a girl.."

All I could think was: No, no, no, and no. I am SO excited to welcome this sweet little boy into our lives. And now that we know for sure that it is indeed a boy, I would never have it any other way.

Baby J saying goodbye. Hahaha. I'm already becoming an unfunny (but thinking I'm funny) mom. Gross.
